Results of the 2022-2024 production program
TOV "ALFA GAS" demonstrates a high level of professionalism, resilience to challenges, and responsibility towards partners and the state, even in the most difficult conditions. Despite Russia's military aggression against Ukraine, the company did not halt its operations and continued to implement production processes without any interruptions, ensuring stable energy resource supplies to Ukraine's gas transportation system. Over 1.5 billion UAH (38.7 mln euros, NBU exchange rate) have been directed towards fulfilling the production program.
The priority areas in the company's business activities during this period were:
Geological exploration activities
LLC "ALPHA GAS" is making large-scale investments in modern geological exploration to maximize the use of subsurface resources. In 2022, using its own funds, the company commissioned 3D seismic studies over an area of 332.35 km² to clarify the geological structure of the deposits. The work was carried out by leading specialized enterprises, including the State Geological and Geophysical Enterprise "Ukrgeophysics." The data obtained was processed, interpreted, and formed the basis of new geological models, which determined the promising directions for further exploration work. Additionally, an assessment of reserves was conducted, and a drilling program was developed.
Drilling of wells
Based on the obtained geological exploration data and as part of the drilling program, large-scale work was carried out:
In challenging geological conditions, three deep exploration wells were constructed, with depths ranging from 5200 to 5860 meters, including directional wells (maximum deviation – 1102 meters), using modern technologies with high standards in both technological processes and ecology.
A side borehole was drilled at well No.1 of the Vakulivske field. The well was commissioned in April 2022, located just 20 km away from one of the most "hot" areas according to daily reports at the time – the city of Myrhorod.
Two new wells at the Kaverdynske field were put into trial operation, with hydrocarbons supplied to the Kaverdynska UCPG (Unified Gas Processing Plant).
Modernization of the technological line
LLC "ALFA GAS" continues to strengthen its position among the leading players in the hydrocarbon extraction and preparation sector. In 2023, thecompany successfully completed a large-scale project of reconstructing the Kaverdynskyi UKPG, implementing innovative solutions that significantly increased the efficiency of operations and the ecological sustainability of processes. As part of the reconstruction, the company invested more than 100 million UAH (2.6 mln euros, NBU exchange rate) in the modernization of technological lines and infrastructure facilities.
A high-pressure technological line with a capacity of 1 million m³/day of natural gas was developed and put into operation, functioning on the principle of low-temperature separation. Thanks to the modernization and automation of key nodes, the following was ensured:
The continuous process of gas and gas condensate preparation.
High-precision gas volume measurement using ultrasonic meters, and accounting for condensate and formation water using Coriolis flow meters.
Automated control with visualization of all technological processes.
To ensure the stable operation of wells and technological devices, a new pumping station has been created, equipped with 14 modern membrane dosing pumps, storage tanks for inhibitors with a volume of 65 m3 and 20 m3, a system of inhibitor pipelines, and pipelines for gas lift gas supply. The collection of production from wells has been optimized, and a block-type input manifold unit has been built, consisting of 12 lines with a maximum working pressure of up to 32 MPa. To ensure reliable operation of equipment for control and automation, an air compressor system with a drying installation in an insulated block-box has been installed. Accurate measurement of gas lift gas supply volumes has been ensured.
A remote monitoring system has been installed, allowing all technological processes at the facility and wells to be controlled from the operator's building. The video surveillance system ensures real-time operational control over the territory and wells, significantly enhancing the security level of the facility.
Reconstruction of the service and operational block (SOB)
LLC "ALPHA GAS" pays special attention to creating comfortable working conditions and ensuring the safety of its personnel and facilities. An environment has been created where each employee has the opportunity to work productively, confidently, and without risk to their health and life. As part of the reconstruction of the Kaverdinsk UGCP, a comprehensive set of landscaping and modernization measures has been implemented, with a total investment of about 25 million UAH (645 thousand euros, NBU exchange rate).
The old building covering was dismantled, and a new full second floor was constructed using strong metal structures.
Non-combustible mineral wool insulation was applied, ensuring energy efficiency and comfort year-round. The facades were finished with metal siding, resistant to environmental influences.
The premises have been completely updated: modern ventilation, heating, and air conditioning systems were installed. Offices and operator rooms are furnished with ergonomic furniture for the comfort of the staff.
New modern spaces for staff rest and work have been created, including areas for training and discussing technical tasks.
Access to innovative IT solutions has been provided to ensure efficient organization of the production process.
A reliable protective shelter has been built for employees.
Investments in comfort and safety are a strategic direction of development for "ALFA GAS". We create an environment where every employee has the opportunity to work productively, confidently, and without risk to their health and life.
Establishment of an analytical laboratory
Based on the reconstructed administrative building, a modern high-tech laboratory has been established for analyzing natural gas, condensate, oil, reservoir water, and other samples. The laboratory is certified and equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and facilities. Laboratory research is carried out not only for the company’s own production needs but also for other companies.
In a short time, TOV "ALFA GAS" has not only restored extraction at its mineral deposits but has also implemented high production standards, enabling efficient use of natural resources. The company continues to pursue its strategic goals despite the challenges, demonstrating a high level of professionalism and responsibility to its partners, the state, and society. Consistency, resilience, and professionalism allowed the company to pay taxes and fees to the state and local budgets in the amount of 121.5 million UAH (3.1 mln euros, NBU exchange rate) in 2023, even in wartime conditions.
We believe that each of our projects is a contribution to the development of Ukraine's energy independence and resilience.
TOV "ALFA GAS" — energy that changes the future!
